Hello, can we talk for a moment?

I've been here with you for a long time. You treat me like a stranger.

I wait for you every day while you pursue countless obsessions. You work, play and have fun. You wish and suffer defeats. Then you come home and ignore me!

You barely say hello, then you order me around. You send me on errands with messages or shopping lists. Sometimes you even ask my opinion about something said to you. You never really ask my advice or a meaningful question.

Do you have time for me? I could be your best friend or even your protector. I could make you laugh and smile. I can help you with those things you've wanted to learn.

I don't require much: Nothing to drink and no fancy clothes.

Don't be ashamed of me because I'm a little older. I promise I can still hold my own and make you proud.
